Japanese Flash Cards in the 21st
Century
Welcome
to modern day Japanese flash cards!
To learn new vocabulary, some form of repetition is
necessary. Flash cards are an age old, tried and tested way of
learning. It is time to bring them up to date. Now why not use them on
your phone? Anytime, anywhere - let them make time for you to move up a
level in your language skills.
English Side
This side of the flash card displays the English definition appropriate
for
this level of Japanese, along with the example sentence translation.
Switching between the English and Japanese sides is just a keypress.
Moving between the cards in the set is achieved using the "left" and
"right" keys (usually the "4" and "6" keys or using a small
joystick/joypad depending on your manufacturer).
When learning a new set of words, it is useful to browse through all
the words in either Hiragana or Romaji (or both) and learn the Japanese
word in English first.
Test yourself with the quiz to make sure that
the meanings have properly been absorbed. Once your scores are perfect,
move on to learn the Kanji!
This will become second nature and you will
actually start to enjoy learning as you notice that because you have
more opportunity to look at the words, there is less effort required to
remember!
